AJ Francis believes that a program with Swerve Strickland would print money.
Both Francis and Strickland have came a long way from the days of Hit Row. Strickland has climbed the ladder in All Elite Wrestling and established himself as a big name going forward, even after the end of his 125+ day reign as AEW World Champion. On the other hand, Francis has established himself as a top player in TNA Wrestling, feuding with the likes of Joe Hendry and ABC (Chris Bey & Ace Austin).
While speaking to Straight Talk Wrestling for a new interview, Francis was asked about possibly facing Swerve Strickland in AEW.
“Me versus Swerve would make so much money. Just the promos alone, the backstory, but I don’t think it’s ever gonna happen, and sadly, there’s a million reasons why I don’t think it’s ever gonna happen. Mainly because I love my time in TNA. I’m a big believer in…I was in a relationship with a woman that didn’t appreciate me and made the world think that I was one way, and now, I’m in a relationship with a woman that worships the ground that I walk on and treats me right and lets people know how great I am, and that’s what I am with TNA, and that’s why I’m happy exactly where I’m at."
Elsewhere in the interview, Francis stated that a lot of greatness was left on the table with Hit Row. Learn more about those comments by clicking here.
