AJ Styles sees big things in the future for his big bodyguard.
It's been nearly a year since AJ Styles introduced Omos as his bodyguard after switching back to Monday Night Raw in the 2020 WWE Draft, in the time that they have been together, they have been the WWE Raw Tag Team Champions and AJ has been focused completely on the tag team division.
Speaking with Ring Rules prior to WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, AJ Styles said that they are still currently focused on the Tag Team Championship, he can see his bodyguard being a singles World Champion in WWE very soon.
“I think first of all we're gonna win our [WWE Raw Tag Team Championship] back [at WWE Crown Jewel]. Omos and myself can focus on a singles run if we decide. Like you said before He’ll be a champion -- WWE Champion/Universal Champion soon. I have no doubt about it,” said AJ Styles.
Also, AJ Styles opened up about whether he prefers Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown. Of course, when the brand split first occurred, AJ Styles was the face of the Friday night show but he has been moved over to Monday Night Raw twice since 2019. Now, AJ says he doesn't care which show he is on, he will do what he has to do to be a top Superstar.
“I prefer whatever I'm on, it doesn't matter if it's Raw or SmackDown. I'm going to do what I gotta do. You know, both, you know, SmackDown and Raw, it doesn't matter. I enjoy both. I enjoy being a part of WWE.”
AJ Styles said in the past that the last WWE contract he signed was his last contract in wrestling. Learn more here.
