AJ talking with Noelle!
The current WWE Champion AJ Styles was one of many WWE superstars present at the San Diego Comic Con. While at the event AJ spoke with Noelle Foley of Ringside Collectibles who interviewed the likes of Becky Lynch, Rey Mysterio, Curt Hawkins and others WWE talents at S.D.C.C.
During their discussion the topic of WrestleMania dream opponents came about and Noelle stated that she would love to see AJ in the ring with The Undertaker and AJ agreed that he'd love to be in the ring with "The Deadman". AJ and The Undertaker have shared the ring in WWE once in a non-wrestling capacity back in November of 2016 when The Undertaker returned to SmackDown Live to let Team SmackDown know that they had to defeat Team RAW at the Survivor Series PPV.
AJ stated in the interview with Ringside Collectibles that he would love to tussle with The Undertaker and learn from the veteran.
“Would I love to be in the ring with The Undertaker? To learn from this man would be unbelievable. Will it ever happen? I don’t know. But yes, that would be a dream match for me as well.” AJ said.
"The Phenomenal One" was also asked about the current WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and how Brock defends his title sporadically. AJ stated that he does not have much to say about Brock because he himself is a fighting champion and is busy focusing on defending his WWE Championship.
“Well, you know what? I don’t care what anybody says. Brock Lesnar is what we call a draw. When people… they come to see Brock Lesnar and the fact that he hasn’t defended in a while, that’s on WWE, that’s on Kurt Angle and everybody else who has anything to do with it." He said. "I do what I do, I’m a fighting champion like you said. I’m gonna defend my championship, I’m gonna give the championship the respect that it deserves. So, I can’t say much about Brock Lesnar--all I can do is keep doing what I’m doing."
AJ Styles will be defending the WWE Championship on August 19th at SummerSlam and the man who AJ will be standing across the ring from at the "Biggest Party Of The Summer" is the former two-time NXT Champion Samoa Joe.
