AJ Styles comments on Tama Tonga's debut in WWE.
Tonga shocked fans on the April 12 edition of WWE SmackDown, as he made his debut for the company by attacking Jimmy Uso and aligning with Solo Sikoa. Tonga is set to make his televised in-ring debut for WWE at the Backlash pay-per-view, as he will team up with Solo Sikoa to face the duo of Kevin Owens and Randy Orton.
While speaking to Shakiel Mahjouri for a new interview, AJ Styles was asked about Tonga's arrival in WWE. In response, the 'Phenomenal One' said that Tonga earned his way to the company.
“Truth be told, I wanted him much earlier than he came, but the timing wasn’t right. He came at the perfect time. He went from sort of the mid level of a card to the top and I love it for him. He’s a good dude, he deserves it. I’m sorry, he doesn’t deserve it, we don’t deserve anything. He earned that chance to be where he is today. I am so stinking happy for him, so glad he’s there. It’s awesome.”
Back in March, Styles had a similar comment when he was asked about the rumors of Tonga signing with WWE. Fans can learn more here.
