AJ Styles is getting desperate.
At WWE Backlash France, AJ Styles unsuccessfully challenged Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. On the May 17 episode of WWE SmackDown, Styles noted that he was unsure what came next, and he would meet with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis the following week.
On the May 24 episode of WWE SmackDown, Styles spoke with Aldis in his office. Styles noted that he was one second from defeating Rhodes and winning the title. He also said that he was one second away from beating Randy Orton to advance in the King of the Ring tournament. Styles asked Aldis to give him one more chance to be the Undisputed WWE Champion and stated that he needed it.
Aldis said that he respected Styles, and he personally would say yes, but he had to say no as a professional, as Styles had to earn that chance. Aldis said that would take time, and Styles responded by saying that Aldis knew that he did not have time. Aldis replied by saying that he could not help Styles with that.
“You know I don’t have time.”
