CMLL hosted a new edition of their weekly show "Viernes Espectacular" from Arena Mexico on March 28, 2025, as the fallout of their "Homenaje A Dos Leyendas" event. As part of the event, Star Black defended his CMLL National Heavyweight Title against Akuma as the culmination of the feud between La Fuerza Tapatia and Las Bestias del Diablo.

After a hard-hitting affair between the two, Akuma would pick up the win by hitting the brutal move "La Valagueza" on Star Black for the three-count. This is Akuma's first single title reign in CMLL since his debut with the company in 2012, previously holding the CMLL Arena Coliseo Tag Titles alongside Espanto Jr. as La Ola Negra for 182 days.

Star Black held the National Title for 661 days, making six successful title defenses throughout 2024 and one previous title defense against Akuma on the 2/23/2025 edition of CMLL Domingo Familiar.
