The new WWE Champion will be celebrating his title victory on the March 8 edition of Monday Night Raw.
After helping The Miz successfully cash in his Money in the Bank contract at Elimination Chamber, Bobby Lashley finally got his shot at the belt last week.
Miz, however, spent the majority of the March 1 show dodging his challenger. At first, he complained of a stomach issue due to anxiety. After getting in the ring at the top of the second hour, he got himself counted out. Shane McMahon put a stop to the shenanigans, mandating that Miz defend his title legitimately or be stripped of the title.
Finally, in a Lumberjack match, Bobby Lashley quickly made The Miz submit to The Hurt Lock to capture his first championship. With his win, Lashley became only the third African American Superstar to capture the WWE Championship.
During Friday Night SmackDown, WWE announced The Almighty Championship Celebration for this coming Monday, March 8, 2021. The Road to WrestleMania for the new WWE Champion begins now.

Additionally, WWE is reporting that Braun Strowman will be seeking an apology from Shane McMahon. They issued the following statement:
Braun Strowman is one angry monster, and he wants answers.
The Monster Among Men feels like Shane McMahon has been out to get him in recent weeks. From excluding him from the Elimination Chamber Match, to not automatically giving him a WWE Championship opportunity, Strowman has some gripes. Matters were made worse last week when Shane may have inadvertently cost Strowman and Adam Pearce the Raw Tag Team Titles in their match against The Hurt Business, so now an apology just may be in order.
Will Shane McMahon grant Braun Strowman’s demand and issue an apology to The Monster Among Men?
