Angelo Dawkins talks about Triple H's new role in WWE.
Triple H is currently in charge of WWE creative in his newly-appointed role as WWE Chief Content Officer. But prior to the retirement of Vince McMahon, Triple H has been the guiding light behind WWE NXT and the development of several top WWE Superstars on the current roster.
One Superstar who was in the NXT system for quite some time is Angelo Dawkins. Angelo Dawkins would try a multitude of ideas before finally being paired with Montez Ford as part of the successful tag team known as The Street Profits. As such, Angelo has a lot of experience working with Triple H, and in a new interview with USA Network’s USA Insider, Dawkins credits Triple H with the formation of The Street Profits and talks about Triple H's new role.
“Man, we like it. The Street Profits, we always have fun no matter what, but we’ve had Triple H with us. He was the one that pretty much put the Street Profits together," he explained. "So we’re used to Triple H in a way. I’ve had him for 10 years in NXT! But yeah, Triple H is awesome and is always in our ear just telling us to be ourselves and all that good stuff and to go out there and have fun and make sure we go out there and do what we do best and get the crowd pumped.”
In recent months, there have been rumors regarding a potential split between Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins. In a recent interview, Bianca Belair, the wife of Montez Ford, says that the rumors do not bother her husband and reinforced the notion that the team is still solely focused on winning gold as a pair.
