Arn Anderson and Barry Windham have been the best of friends and bitterest of foes at various points in their careers. Behind the scenes, however, they have always been close.

Barry Windham, unfortunately, suffered a heart attack in December 2022 while traveling through the Atlanta, Georgia airport. He would undergo an emergency procedure to save his life and Arn Anderson recently provided an update on Barry's condition during the most recent episode of his ARN podcast.

Anderson says that he recently saw Windham at a signing and while speaking with Windham and The Barbarian, it was actually Barbarian who asked Windham about his health and that's when the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion opened up about his current condition, and the incident in 2022.

"He's doing good," Arn began. "I was at signing with him in New Jersey about three weeks ago and had a few minutes to talk to him. I was talking to him and Barbarian and Barb actually asked, you know, 'How you doing, Barry?' He said, 'I'm doing better now. I had a rough go of it.' That's the first time we've had that discussion. Because I just kept everything positive when I've seen him in the past and hugged his neck and all that. But he just said, 'I had a pretty rough go of it. I came off that plane and everything just kind of went upside down, man.' He just fell out there in the airport itself.

"The guy that worked on him for 10 minutes, or whatever it was before they got somebody there, God bless you, whoever you are out there. We can't thank you enough, you saved one of the one of the good guys in the business. He's beloved and he has meant as much to the wrestling industry as anybody you can name and you saved him, and we're appreciative more than you'll ever know."

Barry Windham was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame for a second time in 2024 as he went in alongside Mike Rotunda as The US Express. Learn more about that induction here.
