Arn Anderson wants AEW to succeed.
WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson spent several years in AEW. He joined the company in 2019 and announced his departure in May 2024. During his time there and following his exit, AEW continued to grow, and in October 2024, the company announced a multi-year TV deal with Warner Bros. Discovery. Still, many critics continue to root for its demise.
On the newest edition of his ARN podcast (via The Four Horsemen Network), Arn Anderson was asked to name who would be to blame for AEW's potential demise in a hypothetical "Who Killed AEW?" documentary.
“Probably won’t die in my lifetime. Too many resources. Too many resources. He’s got a talent list 10 miles long. He’s got, forget about the TV deal that they signed, think of all the other assets that him and his family, the Khan family have to draw from. I don’t want to see them die. Who the hell would want to see them die? [That’s] just insane. I feel like the company is going to get bigger and stronger, and it’s going to evolve, and it’ll be interesting to see," Anderson said.
During the show, Anderson also commented on AEW's new TV deal and said that he was happy for Tony Khan and everyone at the company. He stated that wrestling flourished when every company was doing well.
"I’m very happy for Tony Khan and all of his crew, everybody that works there. We need, when wrestling is flourishing, it notoriously is [when] every available company is doing well. When they catch on fire, then it just causes a competition, and everybody’s a better product. So that’s what I hope for. We’ll see how it goes," Anderson said.
Anderson previously commented on potentially returning to WWE. Click here to see what he had to say.
