Atsushi Onita is taking exploding deathmatches to a new level.
Onita announced that his new promotion Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling Explosion will debut on July 4 at the Tsurumi Fruit & Vegetable Market in Yokohama. The focus of the promotion will be on exploding deathmatches.
Onita said at a press conference that he believes there is a demand for this style in the United States and that the Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch between Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley at AEW Revolution was the catalyst for his decision.

It was previously revealed that Onita was invited to sit ringside for the bout between Moxley and Omega, but was unable to attend. He did appear in the video package leading up to the event.
Hidetaka Kajiki, who will serve as a director position alongside Onita, promised the company will have worldwide distribution.
