Movements in the tag team tournament occurred on the March 22 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
Gayson Waller and Austin Theory defeated The OC's Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. Gallows appeared to hurt his leg in the match and that played into the finish as Waller broke up a Magic Killer, and Theory rolled up Gallows with his feet on the ropes to secure the victory.
Later in the night, Later in the evening, The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) fought the Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar). In the end, The Profits also used to roll up to score a victory.
They will next fight on March 29 with the winner going on to qualify for the Ladder Match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania XL.
On the other end of the bracket, Legado del Fantasma (Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza) will face New Catch Republic (Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne). That match will also take place on March 29.
