Shane Helms: I Don't Like The Term 'Celebrity Wrestlers,' Pro Wrestlers Are Celebrities

The event also featured Cyndi Lauper, Muhammad Ali, Liberace, and more.

Over the years WrestleMania has hosted matches featuring Floyd Mayweather, Lawrence Taylor, Snookie, Johnny Knoxville, and more.

Logan Paul is one of the latest celebrities to become a wrestler, and Shane Helms has been with him along the way to oversee his training.

"There is always people that, when celebrities come in, they have things to say. I'm like, 'WrestleMania was built off of that.' Are you sure that's a bad thing? Maybe it's not. Also, I think pro wrestlers are celebrities. We're on TV as much as anybody. I don't even like the term Celebrity Wrestling. We're celebrities too. I've done autograph signings on six continents. There are a lot of TV stars you can go over there and they don't know who the hell they are," Helms told Gabby LaSpisa on Gabby AF.

Paul is set to face AJ Styles at WrestleMania 41.

Elsewhere during the interview, Helms commented on getting back into spandex shape. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
