The Authors of Pain have finally shown up on Monday Night Raw after several weeks of promos airing on WWE programming.
Backstage on Raw, AOP showed up and attacked Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins as those two were getting ready for their Raw Tag Team title match later in the show. Ryder and Hawkins were scheduled to take on The Viking Raiders after the former won a title shot during WWE's recent tour through Europe. Due to the attacks, Ryder and Hawkins were then ruled out of their tag team title challenge.

Authors of Pain has not seen much action in the ring together throughout 2019 due to Akam suffering an injury at the start of the year. AOP was undrafted at the 2019 WWE Draft, but went on to sign with Raw as free agents, with vignettes featuring Akam and Rezar cutting promos in their respective languages airing for weeks. The former Raw tag team champions did appear at WWE Super Showdown 2019 back in July.
