Batista Said He Wants To Return To WWE And Not Be A One-time Deal

It's been more than three years since Batista last showed his face in WWE television, but that doesn't mean he isn't thinking of coming back.

Batista appeared on Jim Ross' podcast to talk about the possibility of returning to WWE. He is, in fact, very interested in not just returning, but returning to be a full-time wrestler for WWE.

"That's been the issue for me. I never burned that bridge and it really is because I love wrestling and still love everyone in WWE. I have my gripes with the company, but I'm sure everyone does. I don't disrespect the company intentionally because I never have a reason to. I didn't leave there due to bad circumstances. I left there because I want to pursue other things. I let my contract run out, they knew i would be walking out. I did business the right way. The short answer is yes, I want to come back to the company, but I have not come back yet because I don't want to do a one-off. I want to wrestle. I want to do house shows. I want to be a part of the program and I love it," Batista said.

The former WWE Champion has been vocal in the past about wanting to work an angle with former Evolution stablemate Triple H. Batista last appeared on WWE TV finishing up Evolution's feud with The Shield after Batista lost a WWE World Heavyweight Championship triple threat match to Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 30.

Since Batista left WWE in 2014, he has enjoyed a successful acting run that included him having a starring role in Marvel's hit "Guardians of the Galaxy" series. Batista's comments can be heard at this link.
