Becky G To Perform 'America The Beautiful' At WrestleMania 39, Gargano Pins Balor | Raw Fight Size

Here is your post-Monday Night Raw fight size update for March 6, 2023.

- WWE announced that Becky G will perform "America The Beautiful" at the opening night of WrestleMania 39.

- Johnny Gargano took on Finn Balor in a battle between former NXT Champions. The Judgment Day (Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio, and Damian Priest) accompanied to the ring. Dexter Lumis was in Gargano's corner for the bout. Balor and Gargano waged war in a match that was reminiscent of their battle at NXT TakeOver: Portland. Balor gained the upper hand, thanks to some help from his stablemates, but Edge's music played. The WWE Hall of Famer came out from behind Balor and knocked him off the ropes. Gargano then pinned Balor for the win. Edge proceeded to drop Balor with a Spear. Later in the show, Edge stated that he would call out Balor on the March 13 episode of Raw.

- Omos faced Dolph Ziggler . Mustafa Ali was in the crowd for the match, which didn't last long, as Omos squashed the former World Heavyweight Champion. In a post-match promo, MVP stated that Omos would tame "The Beast" Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.

- The Miz came to the ring and said he would moderate the confrontation between Seth Rollins and Logan Paul. Tensions quickly rose during the showdown, and Paul leveled Rollins with a right hand. WWE then announced that they will face each other at WrestleMania.

- John Cena returned and initially rejected Austin Theory's challenge to a WWE United States Championship match at WrestleMania 39. Cena eventually changed his mind and agreed to face Theory.

- Trish Stratus, alongside Lita and Becky Lynch, challenge Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai & IYO SKY) to a six-woman tag team match at WWE WrestleMania 39, and Bayley accepted.

- Paul Heyman recapped the end of the March 3 episode of WWE SmackDown and noted that Sami Zayn escaped, so he was present on Monday. He stated that Solo Sikoa would deal with Kevin Owens, while Jimmy Uso would handle Zayn once and forever. Sikoa then faced Owens in a singles match. Owens took the fight to Sikoa. The powerhouse gained the upper hand, but Owens rallied. Jimmy ran down and distracted Owens, which helped Sikoa take control again. The two stars kept going back and forth, but the match came to an abrupt end when Jimmy Uso broke up a pin. He and Sikoa beat up Owens, but Zayn made the save. Zayn offered his hand to Owens, hoping to help him up. Owens rolled out of the ring and walked off by himself.

- Backstage, Zayn approached Owens and told him The Bloodline is too much for him. He said they have the same goal, and they can't get it done by separately. Owens responded by saying Zayn might be right, but he didn't want to fight alongside him. He told Zayn to leave him out of it.

- In the main event, Sami Zayn defeated Jimmy Uso. After the bell, Jey Uso briefly sided with him, but he turned on Sami and realigned with The Bloodline. Jey, Jimmy, and Solo Sikoa attacked Zayn until Cody Rhodes made thhe save.

- John Cena introduced Cody Rhodes to the crowd.

- Backstage, Bobby Lashley said he's tired of playing games. He said he went to SmackDown, hoping to provoke Bray Wyatt into facing him like a man. Lashley asked what it would take to make that happen.

- Chelsea Green and Carmella continued to find common ground as they both disapproved of Adam Pearce. Green accompanied Carmella to the ring for her match against Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair. They clashed in a competitive match. Belair showcased her impressive power, but a distraction from Green helped Carmella take control. In the end, Belair scored the win with the KOD. Green and Carmella ganged up on Belair after the match. Asuka came to the ring and spit her mist in Green's eyes, forcing her to leave the ring. Asuka and Belair then stared each other down.

- A video package highlighted Rhea Ripley.

- The Maximum Male Models (Maxinne Dupri, mån.sôör & ma.çé) were complimenting someone, and Baron Corbin thought they were talking about him. They were talking about Otis and noted that he had charisma and uniqueness. Maxxine Dupri said she still saw potential, as she had an idea for Corbin. That turned out to be a match between Chad Gable and Corbin, and Gable emerged victorious.

- Nikki Cross tried to gain the upper hand when she faced Piper Niven by attacking her before the bell even rang, but Niven still scored the decisive win.

- The broadcast team announced that Candice LeRae suffered an AC sprain in her right shoulder.

- The newest WrestleMania spoof commercial aired.

- WWE King and Queen of the Ring was confirmed for May 27.

- Elias encouraged Rick Boogs to learn by going out to the ring and competing. He told Boogs to tell Bronson Reed "I want to fight you." Reed misinterpreted, as he told Elias he'd face him next week.

- On Raw Talk, MVP hyped up Omos' win over Dolph Ziggler. Omos vowed to tame Lesnar at WrestleMania.

- In a Raw Exclusive, Chelsea Green reacted after Asuka hit her with her mist.

- In a Raw Exclusive, Chad Gable discussed his win over Baron Corbin and stated that he got revenge for Corbin giving him the Shorty G name. Gable said he hasn't even peaked yet. Otis discussed the Maximum Male Models' recruitment and seemed open to it, though Gable said he'd take care of him.

- On Raw Talk, The Maximum Male Models (Maxxine Dupri, mån.sôör & ma.çé) discussed their interest in Otis. Dupri said she had en eye for the "it" factor. ma.çé said they trust their "mother's vision", and she's in her abstract era, which is why she is drawn to Otis. mån.sôör said that mother knows best.
