Trish Stratus is back, and new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions have been crowned.
Lita made her return to WWE back on the February 6 episode of WWE Raw. There, she fended off Dakota Kai and IYO SKY in order to help Lynch ultimately win her Steel Cage match against Bayley. On the February 20 episode, Lita and Lynch interrupted Bayley's "Ding Dong, Hello!" talk show and challenged Kai and SKY to a match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. Bayley reluctantly accepted the challenge for her Damage CTRL stablemates, setting the stage for a major title match.
The clash headlined the February 27 edition of WWE Raw. Bayley interfered throughout the bout, and it seemed like she was on track to help the champions retain the gold. But in the closing moments, Stratus ran to the ring and took the fight to the former SmackDown Women's Champion.

Sttatus kept attacking Bayley at ringside to remove her from the equation. Once Bayley was neutralized, Lynch and Lita took firm control of the match. Lynch locked Kai in the Disarm-Her on the apron, which freed Lita up to hit the Lita-Sault for the win. Stratus then celebrated with Lynch and Lita to conclude the show.

Stratus previously appeared on the August 22 episode of WWE Raw and got into a confrontation with Damage CTRL, but Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair backed her up. Fightful Select reported that Stratus was set to return on the February 20 episode of WWE Raw, but that plan changed, and Stratus left the taping before the segment took place.
Lynch and Lita's win ends Kai and SKY's second reign with the belts at 115 days. Throughout their reign, Kai and SKY only defended the titles on one occasion, which occurred on the December 16, 2022 edition of WWE SmackDown.
