Becky Lynch Has Never Actually Met Conor McGregor, Clued Him In On Taking His Line In A Promo

Though Becky Lynch and Conor McGregor have plenty of similarities, and Becky has certainly leaned into a McGregor-like persona since returning, the two have never actually met.

Becky and McGregor have always been attached due to their Irish stardom and Becky actually did voice over work for McGregor's recent fight against Dustin Poirier.

"The night before my wedding, I was in the hotel recording a voice over for Conor McGregor," Becky said in an interview with BT Sport.

Lynch returned to television at WWE SummerSlam, quickly defeating Bianca Belair to win the SmackDown Women's Championship. Becky landed what many saw as a cheap shot on Bianca, catching her off guard. In her first promo back, Becky apologized for absolutely nothing, taking a line from a famous post-fight interview by McGregor.

"I robbed one of his lines quite recently. When I said, 'I apologize for absolutely nothing.' I was like, 'Hey, by the way, I'm robbing one of your lines.' He was very nice and very complimentary to me after that. I haven't actually met him, but I have so much respect for Conor in terms of what he can do and he's always been nothing but nice to me in any interaction we've had via messages," she said.

Lynch defended her SmackDown Women's Championship against Belair at WWE Extreme Rules. The match ended by DQ when Sasha Banks made her return.
