On the May 11, 2020 episode of WWE Raw, Becky Lynch announced her pregnancy and relinquished the Raw Women's Championship to Asuka.
Asuka expressed genuine excitement over Becky's announcement with many believing that she had no idea what was coming.
According to Becky, she clued Asuka in.
"I told her just before," Becky said during a media session in London. "It was a great reaction. She wasn't supposed to know, I wasn't supposed to tell her. I really like Asuka."
Lynch would deliver her baby in December 2020. She and fiance Seth Rollins married in June.
Lynch returned to WWE television at SummerSlam, defeating Bianca Belair to win the SmackDown Women's Championship.
