Bianca Belair Says Saudi Restrictions Won't Be An Inconvenience For Her Custom Gear

Bianca Belair is headed to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel where she will challenge for the SmackDown Women's Championship.

In the past, female superstars wrestling in Saudi Arabia have been forced to cover up due to Saudi restrictions when it comes to female clothing. Natalya, Lacey Evans, Naomi, and Bayley have all worn long tights, long sleeves, and t-shirts as opposed to their traditional gear.

Belair is known for her custom gear, but she isn't worried about the restrictions in Saudi.

“I already wear long pants as it is, though we'll definitely be having long sleeves and just making sure that we're within the bounds of everything, but I'm definitely going to still show up and look like the EST that I am,” she told the National News. “We'll definitely customise our gear, but I'm excited for it. It's not something that’s an inconvenience, plus I get a new look.”

When asked if she has gotten advice from Natalya regarding wrestling in Saudi Arabia, Belair said, “Natty always gives you advice in the locker room. Mostly that it’s an amazing opportunity, soak every moment in, know how important this is. It's not just that we’re going to have this match, it’s about representation and making real change, not only inside the ring but outside of the ring too.”

Belair will compete in a triple threat match for the SmackDown Women's Championship against Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks at WWE Crown Jewel.
