Don't expect to see Super Damo flying onto your TV screens any time soon.
Killian Dain enjoyed a wealth of success during his early run in NXT. While SAnitY did not fare so well on the main roster, Dain would be fortunate enough to go back to NXT and enjoy a little more success with Drake Maverick as his partner. Dain would be let go by WWE along with several names from the NXT brand in June 2021.
Shortly after his release, his wife, Nikki A.S.H would burst onto the scene on Monday Night Raw with a new character that was all her own idea and a character that would catapult her to the Raw Women's Championship only weeks later.
While Dain, now known as Big Damo again, is very proud of what Nikki has been able to accomplish and says he was a fan of Super Eric, he is looking forward to creating a new character that will be able to connect with audiences and be a true representation of himself and he wants to go back to Europe.
Speaking with Colin Tessier of WrestleZone, Damo talked up his eagerness to get back to Europe and see which wrestlers are breaking through on that side of the world. He also says that his character will be an invention of his own.
“When I am able to get out and start doing this professionally again, I’m very excited to see who I’m gonna meet and who’s the next crop of talent coming through,” said Damo. “That’s one of the things I’m really looking forward to about getting back to Europe is seeing all the guys who were there when I left and who’s coming through next and who’s got the determination to get to the next level. So I’m really excited about that aspect of it, and I’m kind of champing at the bit to get going because there’s a lot of things I want to do.”
“In so far as what my character’s gonna be after this, it’s gonna be my invention, and that’s gonna be fun because one of the hardest parts about being in this is, we’re characters in their soap opera,” said Damo. “It's a lot of fun a lot of the time. There are a lot of freedoms in different ways but realistically, the emphasis is gonna be on me to come up with something that people are gonna be interested in seeing and that’s what I’m excited about the challenge.”
