Billy Corgan comments on Nick Aldis joining WWE.
Nick Aldis was the face of the NWA from 2017 to 2022, holding the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title for the majority of his run with the company. Aldis left on unhappy terms at the end of 2022, and spoke about his frustrations with Corgan and the direction of the company upon his departure.
Aldis has since landed in WWE where he now resides as the WWE SmackDown General Manager.
Speaking on Drew Garbo Live, Corgan was asked about Aldis' new role and if he's happy for him.
"In that particular case, he left under kind of a cloud, so it's hard for me to feel as happy as I would like to because, with any situation where you part ways with somebody who is not completely happy, and then goes out and talks about not being happy, it's hard to kind of root for them. That said, very talented guy, and I'm not surprised he's landed at a higher level and I can only wish him the best," he said.
