Bobby Lashley isn't done with MMA.
Before he returned to WWE in 2018, Lashley spent his time in IMPACT Wrestling while also taking fights under the Bellator MMA banner. Lashley went 5-0 in Bellator and holds a professional MMA record of 15-2. He last fought in October 2016, but that might not be the last time we see him in the cage.
"I think I am still probably going to do a couple more before it's all said and done," Lashley told Sky Sports. "I am still under contract at Bellator also, and if I go back I will give them a call and possibly go after {Ryan} Bader. I don't want to wait too long, time is ticking. I feel great. My body is 100% so I think maybe this summer, maybe after SummerSlam."
Ryan Bader is the current Bellator Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight Champion. He recently signed a new two-year deal with the company.
Lashley isn't the only person hoping to take an MMA fight this summer as the UFC is reportedly planning to book Lesnar vs. Daniel Cormier for August.
Should Lashley compete for Bellator following SummerSlam, he would likely need WWE to sign off on the deal while under contract with them. WWE and Vince McMahon previously signed off on Lesnar competing for UFC in 2016 while he was still under contract with the company.
