Booker T comments on three hour shows in WWE.
With SmackDown currently serving a three hour show on Friday nights and Raw having the potential to go three hours or longer on Monday nights, some fans are celebrating the fact that there is no shortage of main roster content in WWE. On the other hand, some fans are eagerly anticipating SmackDown's return to two hours in the near future.
On the latest edition of his Hall Of Fame podcast, Booker T praised the idea of a three hour show, saying that it allows for more air time. Booker also believes that fans are used to three hour runtimes at this point.
“I think the three hour show works from a talent perspective because we as the boys, we want to get on the show. So, that extra hour, I mean if you guys don’t like it, that’s one thing but for me, I’m thinking about the check [laughs]. I’m thinking about getting paid, I’m thinking about air time is worth it, way to go. From the boy’s perspective, I totally see it. If it could be written out properly, I don’t see a problem with having a three hour show. I think the fans will tune in, they’ve been doing it for quite some time, I think fans finally got used to the three hour show. So yeah, I’m all in, I like it.”
Elsewhere in the podcast, Booker T talked about Tiffany Stratton's recent Women's Championship win. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
