Booker T praises Nikkita Lyons.
Lyons made her WWE debut in December 2021, and she first competed on NXT on the February 22, 2022, episode. She has dealt with injuries throughout her time in NXT, but when she has been healthy, she has consistently competed for titles during her time on the brand. Lyons is currently sidelined as she is recovering from surgery after she tore her ACL and suffered a meniscus injury. On the February 21 episode of WWE NXT, she announced that she would be out of action for up to a year.
Speaking on The Hall of Fame with Booker T and Brad Gilmore, the WWE Hall of Famer was asked whether he thinks Lyons could become the top women's wrestler in NXT, and he stated that she could win the title down the road.
“She’s coming off an injury, and she’s just now getting back on track. She went out, I don’t know, three months ago? But yeah, she’s top billing as far as I’m concerned. She’s got a lot of talent, she’s got a lot of upside. Her in-ring prowess is on-point. She’s a bigger girl. Her abilities, man, it’s unbelievable for someone of her stature. She could be champion in NXT, no problem. The thing is, what I see with Nikkita, if she does get the championship, who’s gonna beat her? That’s the thing I’m wondering her. She could go on a hell of a run," Booker T said.
As of this writing, it is unclear when Lyons will return to the ring. Fightful will provide more information as it becomes available.
