It has now been confirmed that Big Swole and Kris Statlander have signed to join the AEW Women's Division.
Big Swole confirmed to Fightful (first noted on Fightful Select) over the weekend that she has signed with the company. News of Swole's signing was first reported on Nov. 8 by Squared Circle Sirens. Swole first appeared in AEW in the Women's Casino Battle Royale at AEW All Out. She has wrestled four matches since then but has yet to pick up a victory or wrestle on AEW Dynamite.
News of Statlander's signing was confirmed by AEW Chief Branding Officer Brandi Rhodes in an interview with Jonathan Snowden of Bleacher Report. Brandi noted, "I do make the suggestions for new talent, for instance, signing Kris Statlander."
Statlander first appeared in AEW on episode seven of AEW Dark when she teamed with Big Swole in a loss to Britt Baker and Riho. Statlander debuted on TNT on the Nov. 27 episode of AEW Dynamite, teaming with Hikura Shida and defeated the #1 ranked Shida on Wednesday's episode of Dynamite.
AEW social media would confirm the signings on Dec. 9.
