"Rhodes To The Top," the new reality series starring Brandi and Cody Rhodes is set to premiere on Wednesday following AEW Dynamite.
Fans will get behind the scenes access to AEW and follow the personal lives of Brandi & Cody Rhodes.
While AEW has regularly topped the demo on cable, their female demographic is lower than most of the top shows. For example, AEW posted a 0.48 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic for the September 22 episode of AEW Dynamite. The show scored a 0.67 rating among males and a 0.29 rating among females. Real Housewives scored a 0.58 rating among females in the 18 to 49 demographic and The Challenge scored a 0.42 rating among females.
Brandi hopes "Rhodes To The Top" will bring female fans to AEW.
"I've been seeing some recent discussion in media and social media about the female demographic when it comes to wrestling. It's an important demographic that isn't so tapped. That is one area in which I think AEW is looking to strengthen. When you look at it, this is a reality television show. Females watch reality TV, not just females, but females take the torch with reality TV. The hope is, of course, we will have some women that watch the show that are just curious, maybe they watched wrestling as a kid and haven't watched in a long time or maybe their kids watch wrestling and they don't really watch it. Maybe this is the opportunity for them to see a little bit more or to be invested in some of our characters on the show and tune in to Dynamite or Rampage for the first time and be hooked. That's the hope," she said in an interview with TSC News.
Many female wrestlers and fans have commented in the past of how "Total Divas" helped increase their wrestling fandom when it premiered in 2013.
"Rhodes To The Top" premieres on Wednesday, September 29 at 10 p.m. ET on TNT.
