Strowman has his eyes on the prize.
"The Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman appeared at the conclusion of this past Monday's episode of RAW to save Universal Champion Seth Rollins and Ricochet from a beat-down by way of The O.C. (AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson). Next week on RAW, Strowman will get his shot at AJ's United States Championship in a singles match that was issued by Styles.
Ahead of that match, Strowman chatted with Sport 360 to promote WWE 2K20. Strowman is featured in the WWE 2K20 commercial in a shot with WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels. During the interview, Braun was asked if he could wrestle anyone in history, who would be wrestle and he name-dropped Andre The Giant. From the current roster, Strowman named Drew McIntyre and stated that a feud between he and Drew can sell out arenas around the world.
“Andre the Giant has got to be the man on the bucket list of anyone I could wrestle,” Strowman said. “For anyone on the current roster, it’s Drew McIntyre. I believe if we tell the story right and they put the right match with us then we can sell out any arena in the world. It’s just two larger than life human beings going at it like bulls and there is just something special about that. I’m a big fan of gimmick matches like Last Man Standing or Falls Count Anywhere because they just end up like the Wild West. You never know what’s going to happen. No rules, no holds barred, anything goes, let’s get after it.”
There was a moment on the August 12th edition of RAW when Strowman grabbed the Universal Championship and respectfully handed it over to Seth Rollins. Strowman expressed that he was impressed with Rollins' performance against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam but his goal is to get back in the title picture.
“Without a doubt [the aim] is getting back into the title picture. I was very impressed with Seth Rollins performance against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, but I’m looking forward to getting back in the swing of things and chasing after that Universal Championship.” He said.
