Brie Bella does not understand the backlash.
The rollercoaster of a relationship between John Cena and Nikki Bella has been one that has taken over many of headlines and presented many swinging reports. The couple are currently working things out and both have publicly came out and stated that they are putting the pieces back together in their relationship.
One individual who is in the mix of the situation is former WWE Divas Champion Brie Bella. The E! Network series 'Total Bellas' features the ups and downs of John and Nikki's relationship and along the way Brie is in the middle of it showing her support for both sides. There have been numerous times when the media and the public have shared their opinions on the relationship; calling it "fake" or speculating that the on-and-off antics were for TV ratings among other opinions. During an interview with Metro, Brie stated that she gives John and Nikki a ton of credit for putting up with the constant backlash stemming from their relationship.
"Everything with Nikki and John… I have to give them a lot credit. There were so many times they could’ve told the cameras to go away, and asked not to air this or that," she explained. "But my sister and I are the type of women that when you sign up for a reality show, you have to give the good, the bad, the ugly, the happy, everything. We’ve always stayed true to that. It’s been really hard for her to relive – especially when people call all the drama fake. It’s like, 'Nope, this is real life.'"
Brie added that every now and then she contemplates getting on Twitter or Instagram Live and going on a rant to address the public on why John Cena and Nikki Bella are just two individuals in love with a few rocky moments along the way. Brie stated that there have been numerous times where she has had to bite her tongue when speaking on the situation.
"I think it’s really been hard for her to relive," Brie continued, "As a sister you want everything to be back to normal, and happy, and good. It’s been hard on me too. On a daily basis, every day I have to bite my tongue. I so badly would love to go on a Twitter rant or an Instagram story rant and just tell people, 'Listen, I’m the sister and I see everything, and you’re wrong, you’re wrong, you’re wrong'. When I see my sister and John get all this hate because they’re seen out for breakfast, and people say, 'Oh, it’s fake,' it’s like, 'No, it’s not'. They were together for six years, they can meet for breakfast and talk. It’s crazy that there’s all these rumors. It’s obviously not my place, but it gets frustrating because sometimes everyone feels they know the right way to break up, or they know what’s really going on in their relationship, and that always cracks me up. Everyone handles situations differently."
