Brie Bella shares some interesting news.
Last Sunday, after six-years of being in a relationship together and getting engaged in front of a live crowd at WrestleMania 33, John Cena & Nikki Bella called it quits on their engagement, ending their relationship. The two released a joint statement to Us Weekly regarding their split:
“While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another,” the couple told Us in a statement. “We ask that you respect our privacy during this time in our lives.”
The former two-time WWE Divas Champion made her first public appearance since the split at the Nirvana Food and Wine Festival in Arizona alongside her sister Brie. Nikki was spotted without the engagement ring that was presented to her at last year's WrestleMania.
Last week, rumors made the rounds that Brie had resentment and "hate" towards the former 16-time WWE World Champion for the split with his sister but she immediately denied the claims. Brie provided an update on Nikki Bella while speaking to PEOPLE.com and stated that her sister is doing just fine and will always put on the "brave face".
“She’s good, they call her fearless Nikki for a reason,” Brie stated. “She always puts on that brave face. My sister has more strength than any other woman I know, especially Wonder Woman. She’s bigger than that.”
Brie Bella then revealed that viewers will be able to see what went wrong in John & Nikki's relationship in the upcoming season of the E! Network series 'Total Bellas'.
“I really had to take a step back and allow it and that was really hard on me because it’s my twin. I want to protect her from everything,” she said. “This has been the hardest season to film for me because all I want to do is protect her and keep everyone away, but this is what we do.”
The former WWE Divas Champion praised both John Cena & Nikki Bella for allowing their personal problems to be displayed to the public for the upcoming season of show. Brie stated that she and her husband Daniel Bryan were both expecting the ex-couple to keep the situation private, but were genuinely shocked that they were going to let the events unfold in front of their fans.
“I have to give a lot of credit to John and Nicole. They really opened up their lives and they really wanted to close the curtain and be like this is it, we’re done. My sister is really great with her fans in a way where she lets them connect with her. She lets them like go, ‘My life isn’t perfect and isn’t easy’ and lets them see the playbook of her life,” Brie said. "John and Nicole allow the fans to see some very personal conversations, that to be honest. I was mind blown about. Brian and I both said, ‘I don’t think we’d allow them to see those conversations’ but they do. I give them a lot of credit. You get to see where they’re at today and see that unravel."
