Tony Khan shocked the world when he purchased Ring of Honor.
12-time ROH World Tag Team Champions Mark and Jay Briscoe have long been a staple of the now Khan-owned company and there may be nobody more synonymous with the Philadelphia-founded promotion. The Briscoes recently appeared on The Battleground Podcast to discuss the recent deal between the aforementioned Khan and Sinclair Broadcasting.
"They were both shockers," Mark admitted.
"I would say Tony buying it, God bless that man, It's an awesome thing," Jay explained. "We're anxious to see what's getting ready to happen. At the same time, we're laser focused and have the blinders on every weekend, different shows, we have a job to do."
Mark would continue, "It doesn't matter what the promotion is or who runs the promotion, if we're in there, we're going to do what we do regardless."
Jay would then comment on what could potentially be next for the company.
"There is so much talent out there and only so much time to do wrestling shows. There are only so many hours in the week you can put wrestling on. Now you have a brand new platform. I think he's going to keep it going and it's going to be better than ever."
Jay and Mark Briscoe are set to defend their ROH World Tag Team Titles against a pair of unannounced opponents at Supercard of Honor XV on 4/1.
