Bron Breakker: I Have A Lot Of Respect For Gunther, He Is An Outstanding Talent

Bron Breakker discusses Gunther and possibly becoming a world champion.

On this past week's edition of Monday Night RAW, Bron Breakker would lose the WWE Intercontinental Championship to Jey Uso. One man who knows all too well about losing the Intercontinental Championship is Gunther, who lost the title himself at WrestleMania 40.

While speaking to WKDQ 99.5 in a recent interview, Bron was asked about possibly becoming world champion, with the former Intercontinental Champion discussing current world heavyweight champion Gunther in his answer.

"I don’t know. I think as far as the World Heavyweight Championship, Gunther is the champion right now. Gunther’s been exceptional in everything that he’s done. I have a lot of respect for him. Gunther is an outstanding talent. I don’t foresee him losing that championship for a while. I could be wrong, but I think Gunther versus myself would be an absolute showdown. It’s a pay-per-view worthy match, I think. Then I think obviously one day me and Roman Reigns has gotta be the agenda at some point. He’s the best, he’s the greatest of all time. I think that’s gotta happen at some point. It’s gonna be down the line obviously, just because he’s such a huge star, but I think one day, one day that would be my dream match really to get to would be him."

On the April 5th, 2022 episode of WWE NXT, Gunther and Breakker faced off for the NXT Championship in a match that Breakker would walk away with the victory. The two men also battled in the 2024 Royal Rumble match.

Elsewhere in the same interview, Bron spoke about what comes next after losing the Intercontinental Championship, noting that it looks unknown. You can read more about that here.
