Bryan Danielson Finishes Full-Time Career Following Loss At AEW WrestleDream

Bryan Danielson's full-time career has come to an end.

Bryan Danielson lost the AEW World Title to Jon Moxley at AEW WrestleDream, thus ending his full-time career as a wrestler.

Danielson was submitted by a rear naked choke in the bout.

After the match, he was taken out on a stretcher following a betrayal by Wheeler Yuta and an assault from Claudio Castganoli, PAC, Marina Shafir, and Moxley.

The crowd chanted for Bryan as various members of the AEW roster looked on in horror at what they had witnessed.

Danielson put his career on the line at AEW All In against Swerve Strickland, who put up the AEW World Title. Danielson was victorious in the bout, marking his first reign as AEW World Champion. Danielson stated that when he lost the title, he would end his full-time career.

Danielson promised his daughter Birdie that he would stop wrestling when she turned seven, which was in May. Danielson's contract with AEW expired in August.

Danielson has said that he doesn't know if he'll wrestle again, and that he needs neck surgery.

Danielson's career began in 1999. He won world championships in Ring of Honor, WWE, and AEW. He is heralded by many fans and peers as one of the greatest wrestlers ever and the greatest technical wrestler ever.
