Bryan Danielson Gives An Update On His Health After Finishing Full-Time Career

Bryan Danielson finished his full-time career as a wrestler at AEW WrestleDream when he lost the AEW World Title to Jon Moxley.

Danielson put his career on the line at AEW All In against Swerve Strickland, who staked the AEW World Title. Danielson won, but said he would finish his full-time career when he lost the AEW World Title.

Danielson has had neck issues and will require surgery.

Speaking to his wife Brie Bella (Brie Garcia) on the Nikki & Brie Show, Bryan gave fans an update on how he's doing.

"I was very cautious to not say 'retirement,' except for the match where if I lost (against Swerve), I would retire. After that, it was all, 'the end of my full-time wrestling career.' We don't know what's going to happen with my neck, but it honestly feels like I have a bobblehead," he said.

Brie confirmed that Bryan still needs to undergo neck surgery. She said she wanted to do a "big post" for Bryan after his full-time career wrapped, but Danielson said no because wrestlers are never retired.

"To me, at the end of the day, I realized this with my last retirement, which was forced. I didn't want to retire, but they wouldn't let me wrestle again. What I found is people are sad for a bit. Then, everybody just moves on and it doesn't matter. The hardest part for it is probably for the person who does it," said Danielson.

Danielson said he can't find the excitement and nervousness of wrestling, where something could go wrong at any moment, in everyday life, but he can find more contentment and peace.

It is unknown if or when Danielson will return to the ring.
