Bryan Danielson: Having A Great Program With The Miz Is A Great Launching Pad

When Bryan Danielson entered WWE through NXT, he was given The Miz as his pro. Danielson had already gained notoriety through his work in Ring of Honor and other independent promotions, but joining WWE was a new universe and he was considered a rookie.

Danielson was tied to Miz throughout his WWE career as the two had a famous Talking Smack segment in 2016 that eventually led to a feud when Danielson was cleared to return in 2018.

Speaking to Cameron Hawkins on the South Kongress Podcast, Danielson was asked if feuding with or being tied to The Miz is a demotion, which is a popular belief among online fans.

"As much as I dislike him as a human being, Miz really helped me and gave me a good story point and launching pad in WWE. Everything is how you take it, how it plays out. I don't think (it's a demotion), no. If it gives you an opportunity to show people what you can do, it's a great starting point because at the very least, the fans dislike The Miz. If you can go in, and you're good enough, if you go in there and have a great program with him, it's a great launching pad," said Danielson.

Danielson previously commented that he was originally going to hit The Miz during the infamous Talking Smack segment. You can find his full comments by clicking here.

The Miz will host WrestleMania 39. Fans can check out the current lineup for the show by clicking here.
