Kevin Knight talks about his first two matches in All Elite Wrestling.
On March 29th's edition of AEW Collision, Kevin Knight faced off with Jay White in singles competition, with White coming away with the victory. In the aftermath of the match, it would be announced that Knight had become All Elite, and would later face Will Ospreay at AEW Dynasty in the first round of the Owen Hart Cup.
While speaking to Sports Illustrated's SP3 in a new interview, Knight discussed his first two matches in AEW, noting the irony of facing two fellow NJPW alumni.
"It's like as I was coming into New Japan, they were kinda making their way out, so we never really cross paths, so it's kinda ironic that my first two within the company was against two former leaders in the New Japan realm, so it's kinda like full circle moment. So it was a great moment these last couple of days."
Knight would come up short against in the Owen Hart Cup, but will feature in NJPW's Battle Of The Super Juniors. You can read more about that here.
In another recent interview, Knight mentioned that he didn't feel disrespected by WWE offering a tryout. You can read more about that here.
