In fact, there's a long history of football and wrestling coming together, whether former football players become lifelong stars in wrestling, or active or retired players come to the squared circle for a spotlighted match.
Cam Newton's NFL playing career might be over, but as one of the most charismatic stars of his era, he could have a future in wrestling.
