Candice Michelle wants to return for the Royal Rumble, but WWE hasn't called her.
Michelle previously worked for WWE from 2004 until 2009. During her time with the company, she was featured as one of Vince's Devils (alongside Victoria, Torrie Wilson, and Ashley Massaro), and she later won the WWE Women's Championship. Michelle returned to WWE for the Raw Reunion for the special episode of the show on July 22; there, she pinned Kelly Kelly to win the WWE 24/7 Championship. Otherwise, she has largely been absent from the wrestling world. Michelle previously stated that she was hopeful she'd get to compete in the Royal Rumble match this year.
Speaking with Steve Fall for WrestlingNewsCo, Michelle was asked whether she'll be returning for the Royal Rumble. She responded by saying that, in the past, she wanted to, but the company never called her. Likewise, Michelle stated that she'd be open to the opportunity, and while she will watch and support the show, she doesn't think this year is her time.
“I wish I was going. Every year, people are always like, ‘How come you’re not there? Why are you not in this?’ One year, they mentioned I was there but never called me. It just hasn’t been my time. So I’m open for it, I’m looking forward to the year when it’s my time, and I don’t think this year’s my time either, but you never know. WWE likes to call you the day before and say, ‘By the way, can you come down tomorrow? ‘ So I’m not planning on being there this year, but I’ll watch and support, and hopefully one of these years, it’s my time to be there," Michelle said.
