Brie Larson has shown interest in trading in her Captain Marvel uniform for wrestling gear.
Brie Larson is already a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in her role as Captain Marvel and she stepped into the WWE Universe briefly when she filmed a workout with NXT Superstar Tegan Nox for WWE digital platforms.
WWE is never shy about inviting a celebrity inside the squared circle and speaking with Mark Andrews on his My Love Letter to Wrestling podcast, Nox revealed that Brie Larson shared an interest in actually stepping inside the ring during that shoot.
“When I did that whole thing with Brie Larson, she was like, ‘Yeah, I’d love to get in the ring,'" Nox recalled. "I was like, ‘Let’s do it.’ I’m looking at the people filming like, ‘Can we sort this out because that would be really cool.’"
Tegan continued, "[Larson] said she had some big interests in being there and she came to some shows when they were in LA and you know, she loved all the theatrics and how physical and stuff it was and I was like, ‘Look, we can sort this out. I’m sure we can, we have Bad Bunny and stuff right now."
Tegan Nox also joked about wanting to be in the sequel to Captain Marvel, saying that she tried to get the confidence during the shoot to ask if she could make a cameo appearance.
“I tried so hard [to get the confidence to ask to do a cameo in a movie]. I built my confidence up the entire shoot going, ‘I'm going to ask, I'm going to ask, I'm going to ask,’ and when it came time to ask I went, ‘Nope.’
Tegan is currently out of action with another knee injury but she will be a guest on the Wednesday, June 17 episode of WWE’s The Bump.
The sequel for Captain Marvel is due for release in 2022.
