Vinny Pacifico Reflects On Having A Tooth Knocked Out Of His Mouth After Katsuyori Shibata Dropkicked Him On AEW Dynamite

Vinny Pacifico lost a tooth taking on The Opps (Samoa Joe, HOOK, and Katsuyori Shibata) on AEW Dynamite and now, he's sharing the story.

Pacifico teamed with Eli Theseus and Gabriel Aeros on the March 12th AEW Dynamite and had a tooth knocked out when a dropkick from Shibata hit him. Speaking with Jeremy Lambert and SP3 on Fightful Overbooked's In The Weeds, Pacifico explains that he had actually chipped the tooth in an earlier match and then felt it fall out when wrestling Shibata.

Jokingly asked if he owed Katsuyori Shibata money, he responded, "I think I might have. That dropkick....two weeks ago, I had a match in the northeast and I got headbutted so hard my front tooth chipped. I went and got that filled in. Then, last Wednesday, I get dropkicked and I hear a crack. My back tooth just fell out. Thank God it was the back tooth. I got back and was like, ‘Yeah, it fell out.’"

Asked if he was going to get the tooth fixed, he said, "I’m gonna have to. I didn’t care at first, but when I drank it really stings. So I have to get it fixed."

He also said he didn't want to cause a scene so he didn't bring up the incident to Katsuyori Shibata and instead, he just shook his hand.

"I didn’t want to cause a scene. ‘Ah, thank you very much.’ I shook his hand. I didn’t want to say anything. It’s not a big deal. I don’t think he knew. It sounded like a baseball bat."

Still, let that be a lesson for anyone who wants to cross The Opps. They managed to take a guy's tooth out in a match that only lasted 2 minutes and 17 seconds.
