Cedric Alexander is heading to WrestleMania, and he earned it.
At least that's what Alexander clarified following a semifinal tournament match with Roderick Strong on Tuesday's 205 Live. Alexander responded to chants of "you deserve it" by saying he'd earned it. Alexander was able to gain a spot in the finals of the Cruiserweight Championship tournament, which will be featured on WrestleMania 34.
Next week's match between Mustafa Ali and Drew Gulak will determine Alexander's opponent. The WWE Cruiserweight Championship was declared vacant when the company fired then-champion Enzo Amore for being aware of a sexual assault allegation and investigation towards him without notifying the company of the situation.
This wasn't the first time Alexander "earned" a title match, as he was slated to face Enzo Amore before his firing.
