Cesaro Explains How He Was Able To Get Away With Murdering A Beach Ball At SummerSlam 2017

At SummerSlam 2017, Cesaro was teaming with Sheamus against Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose in a Raw Tag Team Title bout.

During the match, fans grew restless and began bopping a beach ball around for their own entertainment during the biggest party of the summer. Not thrilled with the fans paying more attention to a beach ball than the wrestling match, Cesaro took action.

"Certain spots on the card are sometimes tougher to get the crowd into it. I'm always like, 'We'll get them.' I look up and there's frickin beach balls. 'Why are they not paying attention?' We're all trying our hardest to make it great. Sheamus and Rollins are in there, I see the beach balls jumping around. I don't want to jump in the crowd and not get the beach ball, I'd look like an idiot. 'Oh, they're playing keep away with the idiot.' I wait until a security guard kind of secures it, so I know it's in one place. I look at Sheamus and go, 'Don't move.' I run over, grab it, and...it's one of those things like, 'screw you, this is our thing' and it takes something that happened organically and take it to our advantage. I did it for all of us," Cesaro said on New Day: Feel The Power.

Though Cesaro killed one beach ball at SummerSlam 2017, the beach ball's family was back the next night, interrupting a tag team match involving John Cena & Roman Reigns against The Miz & Samoa Joe.

Cena reflected on the beach ball incident in an interview on WWE After The Bell. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
