The card for the May 16 episode of TNA iMPACT! is taking shape.
Santino Marella promised some huge things for the May 16 episode of TNA iMPACT! and one such huge match will be the first-ever Champions Challenge. This will pit all reigning TNA Wrestling champions against some of their top challengers in a wild card tag team match scenario as not everyone on the teams will get along with their partners.
This first-time-ever match will see Matt Hardy, Ryan Nemeth, Eric Young, Joe Hendry, Sami Callihan, Steph De Lander & Spitfire (Jody Threat & Dani Luna) take on the defending champions of TNA Wrestling: Moose, Eddie Edwards, Laredo Kid, Jordynne Grace, Alisha Edwards & Masha Slamovich.
Marella did mention that Josh Alexander was planned for the match but he is currently not medically cleared.
One match that is definitely not going to be a first-time-ever will be the latest singles match between Xia Brookside and Ash By Elegance. This match will allow Ash to get back her jewelry, which she usually uses to cheat in wrestling matches.
It was later announced in a commercial that Leon Slater and Alan Angels will go one-on-one on May 16 as well.
