Charlotte Flair says she wants to work with Andrade El Idolo.
Andrade and Flair have been together since 2019. While they both initially worked for WWE, the company released Andrade in March 2021, and he subsequently signed with AEW that June. The duo got married in May 2022, and after Flair took some time away, she returned to WWE on the December 30 episode of WWE SmackDown.
Meanwhile, Andrade has been sidelined for several months, as he had surgery on his torn pectoral in November. Before that, he reportedly got into a backstage altercation with Sammy Guevara, and he was sent home. There has been plenty of speculation about Andrade's future, and the SmackDown Women's Champion recently expressed her interest in reuniting with him in her professional life.
"I hope so, yes. As long as he's happy. I just wanna be on camera with him at some point," Flair said in an interview with Alfred Konuwa of Forbes.
Konuwa asked whether Flair wanted a reunion with "Andrade and WWE", and when questioned about a potential timetable for it, Flair noted that one can't necessarily have that with anything in wrestling. Flair pointed to the recent returns of WWE Hall of Famers Lita and Trish Stratus as one example before she sated that she would like to reunite with Andrade sooner rather than later. However, she indicated that she was leaving it up to destiny.
"Wherever that ends up? Do I think there's a timetable? I don't think you can put a timetable in wrestling. I mean, look at Lita and Trish being back how many years later. I'd like to be with him sooner rather than later, but it's just whatever, you know, destiny holds for us," Flair said.
