Chris Jericho has shot down a potential dream match.
On June 11, the AEW star was on Twitter and replied to a tweet asking who would win a match between him and Macho Man Randy Savage. Jericho lamented the fact that they never got to work together before calling the WWE Hall of Famer one of his heroes.
Man I wish I would’ve gotten to work with Randy. One of my heroes for sure. https://t.co/11PdVIhbOa

Another user then brought up all of the squandered opportunities of WCW, before suggesting that it's not too late for Jericho to face off against another WCW great, Sting. Unfortunately, Jericho was quick to shoot it down, saying that he's not interested in facing The Icon.
It’ll never happen. Not interested. https://t.co/EOLH7zH1IY

Jericho has said in the past that AEW is not a nostalgia hour and that he is more interested in making new stars than wrestling names for the past. Click here to read more.
Jericho feuded with Darby Allin throughout late 2019/early 2020, a full year before The Icon debuted in AEW and ultimately aligned with Allin.
Sting is set to compete this Wednesday on Dynamite, teaming with Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy and Keith Lee against The Embassy (Swerve Strickland, Brian Cage, Kaun & Toa Liona). The updated card for Dynamite can be seen here.
