At the start of her career, CJ Perry (Lana) was best known for her time as the Russian manager of Rusev (Miro in AEW).
As her career progressed, Lana began getting more in-ring opportunities before officially transitioning into a full-time wrestler. Though Lana was regularly featured on television, she never captured a championship in WWE.
"These were my bulking days," Lana said while commenting on a photo of herself during a virtual signing with East Coast Autograph Auctions. "Probably 2017-2018, I felt like if I could bulk up and look like Charlotte Flair, then maybe I could become champion. Unfortunately, it didn't work out for me. You know, not everyone can be genetically superior and also have a famous father that is 16, 17 time (champion). His daughter is going to surpass him pretty soon."
Charlotte is the reigning Raw Women's Champion, though she was drafted to SmackDown during the 2021 WWE Draft.
Lana is currently a free agent and should she return to wrestling, she says she will continue to use the Lana name. You can find her full comments by clicking here.
