LA Knight will defend the gold on WWE SmackDown.
WWE announced that Santos Escobar will challenge LA Knight for the WWE United States Championship on the November 22 episode of WWE SmackDown.
Knight defeated Berto to retain the title on the November 15 episode of WWE SmackDown. After the match, the returning Shinsuke Nakamura attacked him.
