Clark Connors Will Lean On BOSJ And Other Tournament Experience In JCW Jersey J-Cup 2025

Clark Connors is no stranger to competing in tournaments as he's been part of Best of Super Juniors, Super Junior Tag League, the J-Cup, and more.

On Saturday, he'll enter the JCW Jersey J-Cup, facing Arez in the first round.

Joining Jeremy Lambert and SP3 on In The Weeds, Connors previewed his upcoming matchup.

"I've seen Arez wrestle a few times at DEFY and it's a sick match up. The way he moves is very unique and unorthodox. I always think it's interesting to get in there with someone who moves like that. It allows me different ways to run through them with a spear. It doesn't matter how well you're moving, as long as Clark Connors is coming at you 30 miles an hour, it ain't going to stop," he said.

Asked how past tournament experience prepares him for the two-night tournament, Connors said, "Before I came over to do Super Juniors, they give you a ton of experience wrestling all different types of wrestlers, I bring that into this tournament as I expect to go very deep into it and face a litany of different people. I did the Super J-Cup, the New Japan version, twice. I was a Young Lion, so I didn't make it too far. It was the idea of getting yourself mentally prepared by facing three to five opponents in a short time period. I won the New Japan Lion's Break Crown. I feel good about winning these type of tournaments and I have experience with it."
