Speaking on a post-show media scrum, CM Punk refused to reveal contract deals but did say that it would not be short-term and Tony Khan would confirm that.

“I don't really know if you want to know how the sausage is made. One of the biggest appeals of AEW looks like they show up. Have a good time. You don't want to know the terms of my contract. Just know that I'm here. It's not a short-term thing and I'm here to help anyone that wants help,” said Punk.

Tony Khan added, “We're going to be doing this for a while. We're excited. This isn't a short-term thing or a part-time thing. This is full-time and we’re very excited.”

CM Punk’s return will be capped off by a match with Darby Allin on Sunday, September 5 at AEW All Out. First, he will appear on AEW Dynamite from Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Wednesday, August 25.
