CM Punk has finished filming his latest project.
Deadline reports that shooting has wrapped on the haunted house thriller "Girl on the Third Floor" starring Punk, Trieste Dunn, and Elissa Dowling. The film, produced by Queensbury Pictures, was shot in the Chicago suburb of Frankfort, Illinois.
Punk recently stated that he would not have been able to appear at All In due to his filming schedule. This is the film he was talking about. Punk stars as Don Koch, a man who is failing as a husband. The plot sees Don trying to renovate an old house, but as he tears the house apart, he starts to come apart.
"Girl on the Third Floor" is Punk's first role as the lead.
In a press release, Punk stated, “I’m thrilled to have had the opportunity to take on the lead role in Girl On The Third Floor. I’m a longtime personal fan of genre films and this project was an absolute natural fit for me.”
Producer Greg Newman said, “Phil Brooks has proven his abilities as an actor outside of the ring and is a natural fit for the lead. His range and performance will surely delight and surprise those who know him best from his athletic career. We’re thrilled and honored to have him on the project."
No word yet on when the film will release. Earlier this month, Punk stated he would resume his MMA training when filming on this project wrapped.
